Ess
Larnatus' Eldest Son

God
Few Gods and Goddesses told us whether they were related to another deity, or whether they were in attendance of their own parent. All that is except the sons of Larnatus and the daughter of Happiness.
'...Already I had encountered Rell, son of Larnatus but there was another I was to meet. Like his father and brother he was among the most fierce of deities. On the first encounter he did not tell me his name, but there is no mistaking to whom he is related. Like his father he is massive and muscular and scaley. He carried a huge sword.
"I have come to be honoured today. No one knows of me. My father is the greatest of the Gods. I am the eldest son of Larnatus." He started whacking me with the sword. "With every blow you receive, priestess, you gain more courage, more power." And he just kept on whacking me while I tried to get away from him, but it was impossible. Eventually he must have decided enough was enough as I tried pathetically to defend against the blows. "We may meet again. As you will not come with me. But I give you a gift, the gift of much aggression to those who are against you and your work."

He did return, the following month and this time he told me his name.

I had forgotten just how horrible looking he is, very similar to Larnatus in a way. He speaks very grrrrrr and tough.
"I am Ess, eldest son of Larnatus. I too am a God and deserve homage. I help my father and sometimes I help to keep monsters in control. Especially the Cyclops." It is impossible to imagine anyone or anything being able to rein-in the Cyclops, but believe me Ess probably could give it a good go though I dread to imagine how that might work out. This time instead of the sword-beating he dragged me off into pitch darkness and he just laid into me, pushing, scratching and kicking.
"I have much work to do. Your work is appreciated."
    Push, push. Scratch, scratch.
"I leave you with my admiration and the gift of knowledge."
