Virtually
no information exists about these powerful Goddesses, the
Heliades, so the Olympian Foundation is pleased and proud
to present our experience of them to you. They are a group
of Goddesses, though we cannot say for certain how many
they are in number. Their name - Heliades - as with the
male Gods Heliads - is linked with the God of the Sun:
Helios.
"We
are the mighty Heliades. Thank you for welcoming us. Thank
you for paying homage to us. As we are not known by
mortals we do not expect it; but it is pleasant to be
remembered."
The
Heliades appear remarkably similar, with short curly hair
and bronzed skin; though each has different coloured eyes
- from dark brown to cornflower blue. Generally they only
reveal their faces, two at most, though another, if not
others appear as misty presences behind them.
On first
encounter with the Heliades they set a test for our
team-members:
"One
of you is to fetch the golden urn from the altar."
One
of our team-members stepped into their light and recounted
the following experience:
'...Suddenly in the light a wide
pathway opened up and there were bushes on either
side and a long way ahead I could see a large wide stone
altar with something on. I started down the path and after
a few steps flames leapt out of bushes and I had to dodge
the flames. Then further on were two big animals, like
tigers but not so and they leapt out and blocked my way,
snarling and biting the air. I pushed myself into the
bushes to pass them and carried on. Then there was a
shower of stones, some hit and hurt me but I tried to
dodge them; then lightning bolts struck the path all
around me and I had to dodge these; but I reached the
altar were there stood the golden urn, about 18 inches
tall, plain, with no decoration.
I
took it from the altar, then realised I'd have to go back
through it all again; but I did so and returned to where I
had started. Then the voice:
"Put it on the ground. You now
will come into a dimension you know nothing about."
'...Next I was gently pulled and found
myself in a strange place. The sky was a beautiful emerald
green, the ground looked like brown soil and there were
trees around, not tall but between 4 and 7 metres high;
but their leaves were pink. Some had tiny leaves, others
huge, but every tree's leaves were pink; though they had
brown trunks.
There was no grass nor flowers as such
but there were flowering bushes, and although the flowers
were the same spiral shape their colours were different,
even on the same bush. There seemed no perfume to them,
however.
The
atmosphere felt warm without being hot and I noticed a
gentle breeze. It was a very strange landscape, not flat
but no great hills or mountains; nor did I see any animal
life. It all appeared so beautiful and colourful and I
wandered around for a while, feeling lost and strange. I
could hear the sound of waves crashing on the shore though
I did not see it, I presumed there was ocean nearby.
Then I heard a voice: "This is the
dimension where we choose to be most of the time.
We now have
temples in many countries. In some we have been able to
make contact with mortals who are aware. Some have only
sensed our presence, a few have heard our voice; yet as
the days pass by we will be heard and perhaps seen by
others. Those who had no faith at all are seeking and many
now are accepting there are Gods and Goddesses after all.
Some have taken the trouble to find out about us, learning
our names; even us who are not well-known.
In
one country where we have taken a temple, what you mortals
would call a small hall. It is there that a new faith,
although Christian, is practised. Our presence was
strongly felt by at least fourteen mortals. They told
their minister who gave them a long discourse upon evil
spirits invading this hall and had these mortals go before
him to retake their vows of accepting Jesus into their
hearts. There was much singing and clapping hands. We the
Heliades are angry. This minister will suffer.
Many
mortals who do wrong things, some quite evil, are involved
in accidents. When a plane crashes there are some whose
fate it is to meet such a death. The innocent among them
do not suffer. They are looked after when they come into
our realms.
We shall leave you to spend your day
usefully, happily and with some leisure. Life must not be
all work; but enjoy the work you do. We give you our
blessings."
