'...A lovely
creamy yellow light entered the temple and she appeared.
Erato is of medium height, loose long fair hair, blue eyes
and a heart-shaped face. Altogether lovely features. She
wore a long robe, draped across the bodice, lots of
drapery.
"I am the great Goddess Erato. It
is pleasant to visit you in this temple and to hear you
call me by my name, priest. Although I am happy to be
honoured along with the other Muses, yet to be singled
out is special and I thank you. Now priestess, let
yourself drift into the light that it may uplift your soul
and fill you with happiness, as I know you have much to
contend with."
I
drifted off happily into the light and next thing I could
see was an ancient stone circle, and I recognised it as
Wiltshire, the Avebury rings but not like it is now - I
have been there several times - there were many more
stones.
I could not see her but I could hear
her voice:
"This sacred place was used not
only for worship."
In the centre of the largest ring of stones stood a woman
and by the look of her clothes we were in pre-medieval
times. She wasn't alone, she was standing in the centre of
a circle of people and she was singing to them; it was a
sweet voice and the sound seemed both beautiful and eerie
as it drifted around the old stones.
Then the vision changed, and I could
see a man standing in the same place, again old-fashioned
costume, and possibly slightly later period, and again a
group of people listening. He was reading from a scroll
and I had the impression he was reading a poem. Then the
vision changed again and I watched and listened as another
man was telling a story. Between each of the visions there
was an instant of darkness and then the next scene would
appear, it was weird. The next scene was a group of four
girls who danced, then a man arrived and set to playing a
stringed musical instrument.
Then the visions stopped and I was back
in the temple, and this pretty Goddess smiling.
"You see, it was also used for
pleasure, and is a very special place. Now return to your
earthly body and take with you my blessings for you and
the priest. I give you both the gift of harmony
surrounding you, and I give you the gift of courage."
And then
she, and the lovely creamy yellow light were gone.
