In
the last update we described what happens on the 24th of
December, the festival of the fierce. The following day -
the 25th - is a festival for all Gods and Goddesses, their
attendants and helpers, and doubtless the monsters carry
on from the previous days' partying, though perhaps more
restrained, but who knows.
We
chose to honour first the Goddesses in the morning, and
then in the evening the Gods. We include these two
experiences, less in the spirit of self-applause than the
desire to share the possibility with you, that one day you
too will be so lucky.
All the hard work, the tests, the fear
and wonder is worth it...
'...A
beautiful gold
light with silver sparkles with a tiny tinge of red here
and there, which brightened it and made it even prettier
if that is possible. Then I saw Athena:
"I Athena, the great Goddess speak
for us all, to begin with. We all thank you for honouring
us like this, making it a special day, not as the
Christians do, but the way we the Olympian Goddesses,
along with the Gods wish it to be.
Over the past year your powers have
developed. I Athena stand before you. I thank you and give
you my special blessings today."
And then she vanished and I could feel
a tear on my cheek. We had worked hard, but such an honour
is beyond words...
Then
the beautiful silver and pink radiance of Aphrodite filled
the temple.
"You
recognise me, priestess. Aphrodite, a beautiful and mighty
Goddess. We the mighty ones show you a form we can take,
of great power."
I saw a huge circle of gold appear
above the altar - a perfect circle - no faces or bodies
just a perfect circle of gold. I heard Aphrodite's voice:
"This is our united thought form,
and this is where you and the priest come into this. A
year ago at this time this is how it looked."
And on the perfect gold disc, at the
edges like the beginning of an eclipse of the moon across
the sun, were silver semi-circle slivers.
"We are the gold, you are the
silver. Throughout this year so much has happened for you.
Journeys overseas, very important ones. Now there is more,
but I will let another tell you. I give you my loving
blessings, I embrace and kiss you."
Then Aphrodite was gone.
Third
time I saw Selene, radiant silver and beautiful.
"Dear priest and priestess I
Selene conclude this time you spend in your temple
honouring us by showing you how you appear to us, now. As
before we are the gold, you are the silver."
Then the golden disc appeared, but this
time there was an entire ring of silver around the edge,
where before it was only crescents here and there.
"This is how the two of you have
developed. If we had hearts you two mortals would have
stolen them. Today is so special, celebrate with us later.
I give you my loving blessings with my embrace and kiss,
and may you both be successful in all you do, is our
gift."

During the evening we honoured the Gods...
'...Brilliant
light flooded the temple, Apollo appeared, young and
handsome.
"I the mighty God Apollo enter
this temple tonight, as I always do on a Sunday. Yet
tonight is special. A day for all the mighty ones, and
tonight you honour the Gods. You have been shown things
and taken to many places, priestess. Tonight is not an
ordinary night, there will be no tests. I Apollo can thank
you both personally."
And he faded into the distance.
Then
Hades appeared. In his 'nice' body. Almost as handsome as
Apollo, older with a lovely smile and kindly eyes.
"Do not fear me, priestess. I do
not take you into the Underworld tonight. But I take you
so you may see some of the festivities that are going on
in our dimension."
He led me so gently from the temple
into a vast hall with three walls and a roof, but the
front part was open. Surrounding this structure were lawns
and trees and there were many flowers and flowering
bushes. Some Gods and Goddesses were in the hall, but most
were outside. I could hear music, and saw someone playing
a small stringed instrument in the background.
Various
Gods and Goddesses were lounging around on the grass, some
drinking. There was no-one I really recognised, but
everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, and there was
much laughter.
There
were lots of brilliant lights, so bright and colourful -
colours with great depth - around the people, all
intermingled so the whole scene was seen through these
sparkling colours. I looked at it in speechless wonder for
a while then Hades spoke:
"Now you can return to your temple
and you will be taken by someone else."
And then I was back, speechless with
the beauty I had just seen.
Third
time Zeus appeared.
"Bring the priest."
And we were there. But this time in the
open-fronted building. There was a long table at the end
of the hall, semi-circle shaped and at the bottom was a
tiny bit of table which looked as if it had been elegantly
tacked-on on to it. We walked into the hall and Zeus
gestured to this extra piece of table:
"This is where you sit."
There
were two backless stools on this little protruding bit of
table and Nica and I sat together in the centre. There was
much eating and drinking going on around us. At the head
on the big table in the middle sat Isa, on one side was
Cronos and the other sat Zeus. All the rest of the Gods
and Goddesses were seated in different places at the
table. On the top table I saw Aphrodite, Athena, Selene
and Demeter, Ares, Hades and Apollo, but Isa was in her
lovely form and I couldn't take my eyes off her. I saw Pan
and Eros sitting next to each other on the semi-circle
table.
Fruit and wine was set before us. I had
a sip of wine but was so in awe of everything around me, I
couldn't eat or drink. I could still hear music in the
background.
Then Zeus appeared again beside us and spoke:
"You have paid homage to us so
regularly, you work so hard, so we the Gods and Goddesses
acknowledge you both and bless you, and give you the gifts
that within reason, all that your heart's desire will come
about."
Then he gestured for us to stand from
the table, and I guessed we were to be returned to the
temple.
But
I stood a moment before turning and walking out into the
open.
