Thaumus

The God Thaumus is sometimes called 'the wondrous' and even 'the monstrous' for this deity is raw power. He does not feature in many legends, though some classical writers suggest he is the father of the Goddess Iris and the fearsome Harpies.
His parents are said to be the sea God Pontus  and Gaea the earth.

On first encounter with Thaumus he appeared from a flash of harsh blinding light. He stands 7 metres tall, is dark skinned and has red fiery eyes. Thaumus is fierce in the extreme and the ground shakes when he walks.
"Although I may not be as well known as some of the mighty ones, I am just as powerful. You show courage inviting me into your temple. I know your limitations. You are weak mortals but it is as well you remember me. Today is a day of power. My day. I can do a lot of damage to those who do not obey the laws of nature; some mortals already are suffering.

I have taken many temples.  I judge fairly, but firmly. I am a fair God but I demand respect at all times and those who hear me and do not heed will find I am not a forgiving God. I give the gifts of strength and knowledge. You deserve my blessing and that you shall have."
